 My name is Simon Kwok and my background is in Interaction Design with a BSc from SFU's Interactive Arts and Technology program. Design has always been about solving problems and understanding people and what better to apply this in that social innovation. Upon reading Worldchanging, a book edited by Alex Steffen based on articles written on the blog worldchanging.com, I became aware of the vast range of innovative designs and initiatives that are going on around the world solving social problems. More importantly, I realized how much can be done here at home.
I got involved in inov8 in hopes to use a design process approach and my experience in audience research to help solve some of our communities social and sustainability issues.
