SFU's United Way Campaign has raised $174,000 to date from nearly 300 donors and special events. We sincerely appreciate the support of our SFU Community at a time when assistance is desperately needed in the Lower Mainland.

We're also pleased to announce our prize winners this year: Jenny Lum of MBB won the reserved parking space; Ingrid Woldenga won the one-night's stay, with breakfast, at the Delta Vancouver Suites; and Bruce Brandhorst won the $75 gift certificate for Horizon's Restaurant.

It is worth noting that the special events added nearly $20,000 to our grand total! Special thanks go out to:

-Jeff Rudd and Volunteers, Burnaby Book Sale -Brenda Badgero and Volunteer, Burnaby Bake Sale -John Briggs, Facilities Fundraiser -Bill Nelson and Frank De Vita, Day of Caring -Michael Hayward and Volunteers, Vancouver Book Sale -Jeremy Rosenberg, IT Fundraiser -Gayle Myers, Strand Hall Fundraiser -Susan Warren and Carol Magambo, Online Art Auction -Nadia Williams and Team, SFU Surrey Market on the Mezzanine -Dale Wikaruk and Volunteers, Vancouver Bake Sale -FASS Surrey, Fundraiser -Lisa Papania and her BUS 443 students at Surrey -All the volunteers who work so very hard to make those events as successful as they are!

Thanks also to all our Campaign Representatives, colleagues who personalize the United Way information in departments and units, and to Caryn Cameron for creating and maintaining the United Way website.
