last week we spent some time hammering out a mission statement. I thought I would share the results with the blog: North shore group mission statement Product description • strategic IT infrastructure planning services Benefit proposition • provide knowledge & expertise that is not available in house • template based deliverable reduces costs and time to market • leverage best practices from previous engagements Key business goals • completed by the end of semester • quality is such that the recommendations are practical and feasible for implementation by a 3rd party IT consultant • cost is negligible • meet the criteria specified on inov8.ca to be continued...

Our team is currently in active discussion with the Harvest Project (http://www.harvestproject.org/). There is potentially a good fit there for us to provide IT Consulting, and perhaps implementation services. This is all dependent on time, and we are due to hear back from them by the end of this week.

It would be great to talk to you to discuss your goals and potential ways in which we can help. Please keep in mind that we have to have the project completed by the end of March and therefore would have to discuss the potential projects in the next week. My teammates and I look forward to speaking with you.

Hey Team, This is an example of the first contact emails that we''re circulating to possible clients. Hello North Vancouver Outdoors Club Team, I''m an MBA student at Simon Fraser University currently completing a Product Development Module. I am working with a team of five other MBA students and we are looking for a non-profit organization to assist with a technology project this semester. I came across the North Vancouver Outdoors club website and wanted to see if you might be interested in working with us. We are interested in working with an organization involved in outdoors sports in North Vancouver. Our program specializes in technology and we''re all experts in our respective fields (IT managers, designers, programmers etc). We can offer a free service to do a range of projects. Some examples of our core competencies include: web redesigns, business consulting, networking, and IT strategy development.
